Khalid M. Al-Aboodi,
Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi joined the Board of Directors of the Company as of the 29th of December 2016 and was assigned to chair the Executive Committee in the Board and a membership in the Nominations and Remuneration Committee, he was appointed as Managing Director as of 1 February 2018.
Mr. Khaled Al-Aboodi holds a master's degree in economics from Northeastern University at the United States of America. Before joining SALIC, he worked as CEO of Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) for more than ten years.
Mr. Al-Aboodi worked in the position of senior economist at the Public Investment Fund where he was responsible for many privatizations.
He also worked as Alternate Executive director for Saudi Arabia at the World Bank Board in Washington DC.

Matthew Jansen is the appointed Chief Executive Officer of SALIC (Saudi
Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co) as of the 1st of April 2018
leads a team of qualified and experienced executives driving SALIC’s

decades of leadership experience both as businessperson and CEO, Matthew

company. Prior joining the company, he worked for Archer Daniels Midland
(ADM) as Senior Vice President and Chief Risk Officer in the United
Mr. Mathew holds a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics
from Arkansas University in the United States of America. He also
received an Executive Leadership Development Certificate from Harvard
Business School in the United States. He also earned an Advanced
Strategy Certificate from the University of Chicago's Booth School of
Business in the United States.
As Chief Investment Officer, Abdulrahman Al-Hassan leads SALIC’s initiatives to identify, assess and bring to fruition the most suitable and strategic agribusiness investment opportunities from around the world. Al-Hassan also plays a key role in developing and implementing corporate strategy and organizational planning and development. He joined SALIC in 2012 as Vice President, Investment.
Al-Hassan is a veteran professional with nearly 25 years of experience spanning the fields of finance, investment and business strategy and development.
Al-Hassan earned his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Graduate School of Public Administration, Seattle, US in 1989, Masters in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Saint Martin’s College, Lacey, US in 1986 and Bachelors in Business Administration from the College of Business Administration, Seattle Pacific University, US in 1984.
Over subsequent years, he attended a number of specialized management courses and executive training at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, the UK Institute of Directors, London, UNIDO, Management Center Europe, Brussels, Belgium, Harvard University, US and Chase Manhattan Bank, US.
Prior to joining SALIC, Al-Hassan worked as Director, Strategy and Business Planning, at Taqa (Saudi Arabia’s industrialization and energy services company), Executive Director, Investment Promotion, at SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and Senior Credit Consultant at SIDF (Saudi Industrial Development Fund).Prior to joining SALIC, Al-Hassan worked as Director, Strategy and Business Planning, at Taqa (Saudi Arabia’s industrialization and energy services company), Executive Director, Investment Promotion, at SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and Senior Credit Consultant at SIDF (Saudi Industrial Development Fund).
Mr. Sulaiman A. Al Sultan,
Chief Corporate Services Officer
Mr. Sulaiman A. Al Sultan is the appointed Chief of Corporate Services of SALIC (Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co) as of the 28th of August 2018.
Mr. Al Sultan has more than 20 years of experience, blended in HR management and consulting. His last role prior to joining SALIC, he used to work for Islamic Cooperation for the Development of Private Sector (an affiliate of Islamic Development Bank) as a Corporate Support Director. He worked as well for Zain Telecom, Ernst & Young and BAE Systems in Senior roles.
Mr. Al Sultan holds a Bachelor of Science in English Literature from King Abdulaziz University in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He also received a Diploma in Computer Information Systems from Greenwich College in the Australia. He also earned a Certificate in Management from Lancaster University in the United Kingdom as well as obtaining a CIPD Certificate in Human Resources.
Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Nicola Chiaranda is the Chief Financial Officer of Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Co. (SALIC) as of the 1st of May 2018.
With more than 25 year's experience in public multinational groups mainly in Agribusiness and Food production in Italy, France, Switzerland, USA and Spain.
Mr. Chiaranda holds a master’s degree in economics from the University of Venice in Italy. Before joining SALIC, he held different Finance and Business Development positions at Bunge, including CFO of Bunge South Europe, Global Director of Finance Operational Excellence in New York – USA at Bunge Limited and VP Business Development and Innovation at Bunge Europe. In addition to his wide experience in Charted Accounting.
