Eng. Sulaiman Al Rumaih,
Chief Executive Officer
Sulaiman Al Rumaih Appointed as the Chief Executive Officer for SALIC on 11th September 2019.
Mr. Al Rumaih has a combined experience of about 20 years in a number of industries, holds a master's degree in Electrical Engineering. Prior to joining SALIC, he served as a Chief Executive Officer at Tamimi Group, which is one of the largest Saudi group, consisting of around 45 companies and operating locally and globally. Before that he has undertaken various roles mainly in GE Energy and Saudi Electricity Company.
Mohammed Al Mousa,
Chief Financial Officer
Mohammed Al Mousa was appointed Group Chief Financial Officer of SALIC on 16th of June 2019. He has 20 years of professional experience in financial management and accounting. Prior to his appointment in SALIC, he was the Group Chief Financial Officer of Al Faisaliah Group Holding (JSC). Earlier in his career, he was a Director for Group Financial Controlling, Finance Manager, Accounting Manager, and worked in Consultancy and Education fields. He was also a board and committee director in various organizations. Mr. Al Mousa holds a master’s degree in Accountancy from Missouri State University (USA), bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from King Saud University in Riyadh. He also holds professional certifications in the finance field (CPA, CME-1).
William Henry England,
Senior Vice President
William Henry England was appointed Senior Vice President (Investments) of SALIC on 1st January 2019. He has 30 years of professional experience in global agribusiness management. Prior to his appointment in SALIC, he was the Chief Executive Officer of United Farmers Holding Company based in Riyadh. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Operating Officer of Gilan Agriculture in Azerbaijan, Chief Executive Officer of RAVAgro in Russia and Business Development Director Central Europe for Spearhead International. He has built a career identifying, acquiring and managing large scale agribusinesses living in 8 different countries. He was also a member of boards and committees in various organizations. Mr. England holds a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture from the University of Wales (UK).
Head of Legal
Mr. Ahmad AlBassam was appointed as the Head of Legal, Compliance of SALIC in September 2019. He holds a Master of Laws from Case Western Reserve University, School of Law, Cleveland, Ohio USA, and a bachelor’s degree in Islamic Law (Shariah) from Imam Mohammed Bin Saud University – Riyadh – Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Mr. AlBassam began his career as a Banking Relationship Manager & Shariah Board Secretary in Saudi Hollandi Bank before he moved to Aljadaan Law Firm in association with Clifford Chance. In September 2007, Mr. AlBassam joined Allen & Overy Law Firm in association with Abdulaziz Algasim where he then worked until 2011 as Senior Legal Advisor. Prior to his appointment in SALIC, Mr. AlBassam was General Counsel & Board Secretary in Saudi Fransi Capital.
With more than more than 16 years of experience, Mr. AlBassam brings with him vast professional experience in Finance, Banking, and Investment and working in various companies as well as working in various companies and financial institutions.
Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Obaid,
Head of Risk
Mohammed Sulaiman Al-Obaid was appointed Head of Risk of SALIC on 1st of July 2019. He has 16 years of professional experienced in Financial services. Prior to his appointment in SALIC, he was the Head of Risk at Jadwa Investment Company. Mr. Al-Obaid holds a Master’s Degree in Risk Management from NYU-Stern and a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance from KFUPM.
Osama Saleh Alhodithi,
Head of Internal Audit
Osama Saleh Alhodithi was appointed as the Head of Internal Audit of SALIC on 1st March 2020. Mr. Osama is a Certified Risk Management Assurance (CRMA). He holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Systems from University of Detroit- Mercy Detroit, Michigan, USA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from King Khalid University Abha University, KSA.
Mr. Osama began his career as an Auditor at the then-Big Six Accounting firm Ernst & Young before he moved to AlFaisaliah Group six years later. In 2005, Mr Osama took a quantum leap joining the Capital Market Authority where he then resigned in 2013 as the Director of Internal Audit & Compliance. Prior to his appointment in SALIC, Mr. Osama was the Head of Internal Audit in HRDF, Tawuniya and The Mediterranean & Gulf Insurance & Reinsurance.
With more than 20 years of experience, Mr. Osama brings with him vast professional experience of working in various companies including government agencies, regulatory body and financial institutions. He is an instrumental to the success of KSA’s Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA). Currently, Mr. Osama is a member of the Board of Directors of IIA, Board Committees, IIA Executive Committee Senior. Various initiatives and programs were conducted within IIA with the aim to promote internal audit profession within KSA.
