SALIC welcomes the Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Earlier today the CEO of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), Eng. Sulaiman bin Abdulrahman Al-Rumaih, met with H.E. Ambassador of the Republic of Uzbekistan to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Mr. Ologebek Maksudov, at SALIC offices in Riyadh, to discuss a potential collaboration between the two countries in the presence of a number of officials.
The cooperation is based on a common topic of interest between the two countries in relation to food security and the possibility of signing a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance investment opportunities in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) members in the field of agriculture. On this occasion, Ambassador Maksudov invited SALIC to visit the Republic of Uzbekistan and meet with senior officials to discuss available collaboration plans.
For his part, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Rumaih welcomed the Ambassador’s invitation with open arms, affirming that SALIC which is a Saudi joint stock company owned by the Public Investment Fund of Saudi Arabia (PIF) contributes to achieving food security for the Kingdom by providing a number of basic commodities and stabilizing their prices through a group of foreign investments such as building projects, partnerships and acquisitions. Adding that, SALIC seeks to strengthen global partnerships in the fields of agricultural and livestock investment to better meet the Kingdom’s nutritional needs and overcome investment and local production challenges.
As the meeting came to an end, Eng. Sulaiman Al-Rumaih and Ambassador Maksudov, exchanged souvenirs to commemorate this occasion.
