RIYADH, February 1, 2015: SALIC recently launched an annual training and development program for new Saudi graduates. Called the SALIC Development Program (SDP), the intensive one-year course is designed to enable selected graduates to learn and develop business skills with a focus on agribusiness.
The first batch of graduates began their course in January 2015.
Candidates who wish to be part of the SDP are required to undergo a stringent selection process that includes proven assessment methods, behavioral test and panel interviews.
SDP, which is being implemented in cooperation with reputable international universities, consists of two distinct phases. During the academic phase, the young graduates learn about business management and agribusiness, simultaneously working on projects and case studies. The second phase takes them to companies that offer market-relevant work experience in finance and investment, particularly focusing on agricultural and food industries.
The first batch of SDP students has the opportunity to study at the top ranking university in the world.
SALIC conceived SDP as part of the company’s Learning and Development vision. The program is aimed at grooming young Saudi graduates to be efficient financial analysts in the agribusiness sector. The program will qualify the new graduates as efficient managers adept at diverse managerial tasks.
