Abdullah Aldubaikhi,

Abdullah Aldubaikhi is the CEO of SALIC (Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company), based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He leads SALIC in its goal to become a global, best-in-class, agri-business major, leveraging his business development knowledge and experience acquired over more than 25 years of business leadership roles. His role is to shape the business strategy and positioning of SALIC worldwide as an agribusiness investor focused on profitable investments and responsible business conduct.

Aldubaikhi was appointed the first CEO of SALIC in 2012 by the board of directors seeking to bring in leadership strengths in strategy and investment for the newly formed company. He has built a strong management team, while cultivating a proactive business culture and international mindset for the company in general.

After securing a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from KFUPM in Saudi Arabia in 1987, he started his career as an engineer with the Saudi Telecom and moved on to the loans department at the Saudi Industrial Development Fund (SIDF) in 1990. He co-founded DowLog Technology Company and became CEO in 1993, before taking on a new leadership role by becoming president of Awalnet, Saudi Arabia’s largest Internet service provider. Prior to joining SALIC, he was president of Afwaf Investments, a leading private equity investment firm with a diverse portfolio spanning real estate development, ICT, financial consulting, building materials, marketing, manufacturing, and other sectors. In 2011, he also earned an Executive MBA from Oxford University. 

Aldubaikhi sits on the board of directors of several companies. In his capacity as the CEO of SALIC, he is Chairman of SALIC UK, and Chairman and CEO of SALIC Canada. He is a board member of Continental Farmers Group (CFG) in Ukraine, G3 Limited in Canada, United Farmers Holding Company in Riyadh, and Minerva Food in Brazil. Other regional and local organizations that have sought his guidance by appointing him to their board of directors include Bank Alkhair in Bahrain, Al-Essa Industries in Riyadh, and Abdullah Abdulghani Brothers in Qatar.

Aldubaikhi is also a member of the Saudi-Canadian, Saudi-Russian and Saudi-France business councils. In 2014, Aldubaikhi was also elected member of the Oxford Alumni Advisory Council.

He is member of the European Private Equity and Venture Capital Association, the Young President Organization (YPO), the Gulf Venture Capital Association and the Saudi Engineering Committee. He founded the Arab Internet and Communication Service Providers Association (ARISPA) and was its chairman from 2004-07, and has sat on a number of other professional and technical bodies in previous years..

    Abdulrahman H. AlHassan,
    Chief Investment Officer

    As Chief Investment Officer, Abdulrahman Al-Hassan leads SALIC’s initiatives to identify, assess and bring to fruition the most suitable and strategic agribusiness investment opportunities from around the world.  Al-Hassan also plays a key role in developing and implementing corporate strategy and organizational planning and development. He joined SALIC in 2012 as Vice President, Investment.
    Al-Hassan is a veteran professional with nearly 25 years of experience spanning the fields of finance, investment and business strategy and development.

    Al-Hassan earned his Masters Degree in Public Administration from the Graduate School of Public Administration, Seattle, US in 1989, Masters in Business Administration from the Graduate School of Business Administration, Saint Martin’s College, Lacey, US in 1986 and Bachelors in Business Administration from the College of Business Administration, Seattle Pacific University, US in 1984.
    Over subsequent years, he attended a number of specialized management courses and executive training at IMD, Lausanne, Switzerland, the UK Institute of Directors, London, UNIDO, Management Center Europe, Brussels, Belgium, Harvard University, US and Chase Manhattan Bank, US.
    Prior to joining SALIC, Al-Hassan worked as Director, Strategy and Business Planning, at Taqa (Saudi Arabia’s industrialization and energy services company), Executive Director, Investment Promotion, at SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and Senior Credit Consultant at SIDF (Saudi Industrial Development Fund).Prior to joining SALIC, Al-Hassan worked as Director, Strategy and Business Planning, at Taqa (Saudi Arabia’s industrialization and energy services company), Executive Director, Investment Promotion, at SAGIA (Saudi Arabian General Investment Authority) and Senior Credit Consultant at SIDF (Saudi Industrial Development Fund).


    Ahmad M. Alsalem,
    Chief Corporate Services Officer

    As a Chief Corporate Services Officer for Corporate Services Sector, Ahmad AlSalem oversees human capital, information technology, procurement, supply chain and buildings engineering. ​Alsalem is leading the development of corporate services sector by ensuring, attrac​ting and utilizing  best calibers ,maintaining a motivating work environment to using the best advanced technology solutions in order to develop the SALIC’s business.
    Alsalem’s focus is on helping to develop and implement well-designed strategies, policies and processes to enable SALIC achieve its goals.
    Alsalem earned an executive MBA from KFUPM, Saudi Arabia, which was the culmination of a series of post-graduate diploma and certifications that included CFE (Certified Fraud Examiner) from New York, PMP (Project Management Professional), HR Management Diploma. He has also obtained certifications as anti-corruption manager and in managing and leading CHANGE.
    Alsalem has over 18 years’ experience in leading positions in strategy and leading operations, Prior to joining SALIC, he was the Sector Head of human resources and development at the Saudi Food and Drug Authority ( SFDA ). Before that, he used to lead different functions within Saudi Telecom Company STC. Earlier, he was the Senior Vice President at the leading telecommunications service provider VIVA Kuwait.
